** Job Summary **

We are seeking a detail-oriented Banking Operations Specialist to support branch and back-office banking operations. This role will handle transaction processing, account maintenance, reconciliations, research, reporting, compliance activities, and customer-related operational requests. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking or financial services operations and be comfortable working with sensitive financial information.

** Key Responsibilities **

• Process ACH transactions and returns, adjustments, encoding errors, and other transaction corrections.
• Perform account maintenance, name changes, controlled account activity, stop payments, and dormant account reactivations.
• Reconcile official checks, cash vaults, GL accounts, and other operational accounts.
• Process and review telephone transfers, lockbox deposits, large checks, chargebacks, and non-posted items.
• Support Online Banking and Cash Management Services.
• Process IRA and retirement accounts and related transactions.
• Review and process Regulation CC holds, NSF activity, levies, subpoenas, and other banking-related requests.
• Support IRS backup withholding, year-end tax reporting, state escheatment, and dormant account reporting.
• Input and maintain daily Treasury rates and complete required operational certifications.
• Perform department callbacks, report reviews, research, and transaction investigations.
• Coordinate branch cash orders and armored courier services.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and error resolution in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable banking policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations.
• Work closely with internal departments, branch personnel, customers, and external agencies.

** Qualifications **

• Previous experience in banking operations, branch operations, deposit operations, or financial services.
• Knowledge of ACH processing, check processing, account maintenance, and banking transactions.
• Experience with reconciliations, transaction research, operational reporting, and compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
• Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Professional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work onsite and adapt to changing business needs.
